Good morning!

Good morning everyone, from the Pajama Monsters! Joshua has these jammies in every size from 1-3 years. I'll be sad when he outgrows them, but baby sister is growing into them now, so here are my little matching monkeys. All the 2 liter bottles in the background are from out bottle bowling match.

Rock Song

Here's princess Maia with her wild wild hair. Joshua told us this morning that he made a "rock song." Here's Joshua's rock song that he made up all by himself. Personally I think it sums up the human condition and political climate/cause for wars rather well.

"Everybody has a rock.

Obviously Joshua has a rather literal understanding of the term "rock song."

Easter

Too many pictures to post them all, so here are a few highlights. The kids had a great Easter. We went to a small shopping center yesterday where Joshua went from shop to shop gathering eggs. Today the kids found their baskets (Joshua has a duckie basket and Maia has a bunny) then we went to church where they had another egg hunt. Even Maia found an egg. We all went home for lunch and then the big Kirkland park egg hunt downtown. Finally we came home, dyed eggs and had Easter ham for dinner. It's been a big day and the kids are crashed out hard. As you can see, Maia is sleeping really hard, on her tummy, bum in the air and head under her crib sheet. Also, today Maia turned 11 months old.

Birthday Party with friends

Joshua and Maia went to a birthday party yesterday. They had a bouncy house with a ball pit in it. Joshua has always been afraid to bounce in bouncy houses, and I assumed Maia would be too. Joshua has apparently overcome his fear. Maia raced into the house, took a header into the ball pit. I thought, "Oh no! My Baby!" Little princess Peep came up grinning. Apparently my daughter is not easily daunted.

Just Ducky

Here's miss Peep-a-deep modeling her new spring wardrobe. This one is inspired by rubber waterfowel.
In the tub she decided not to stay in the safety seat and scooted, wiggled, climbed, and splashed her way all over the tub. This child is a natural born water baby!

Pony Party!

A friend from mom mommy group has horses and mini-ponies. She threw a pony party for the kids today. After the party a couple of the older girls pulled me aside to say what a great rider Joshua was and what natural balance he has. That's my boy!

Maia is finally big enough to wear the new jogging suit Grandma got for her. Here's Maia showing off her new ensamble. The last one is a picture Gene feels may be illustrative of the cat's view of rank in this house.

Breakfast time

Here are the kids at breakfast this morning, and one of Joshua looking at his favorite Christmas ornament. We're continuing our series of experiments to tame Maia's wild muppet hair!

New doo

We're trying to tame Maia's muppett hair. Here's experiment number one: olive oil and caterpillar clips. Here's Joshua wearing the sailing outfit great grandpa and grandma made for uncle Sean. Doesn't he look cute?!

Merry Christmas!

Maia had a great first Christmas. Joshua had a wonderful Christmas too. Here's the little Peep playing in a Christmas box and showing off her Santa hat!

Maia caught sight of Mommy while she was cruising around on the floor. This is why it's worth all the late night feedings and teething!
