New Hairct

Joshua and I are feeling better now so I'm up to adding to my blog again. Joshua and I got our hair trimmed today. Here is my handsome little man with his new haircut.

Joshua was playing on the floor while gene and I were reading in the living room. suddenly we noticed a rather unpleasant smell. I used to joke that if I lost enough sleep I might diaper the wrong end. Joshua apparently beat me to it.

Eating everything and getting into everything

Joshua is into everything lately. He's eating anything he can get his hands on and signing "more" and "eat" a lot. he's also beginning to stand up in the middle of the floor and toddle a bit. My baby is really growing up!

What do you mean WEAN?!!

I broached the subject of eventually weaning Joshua. As you can see, he's opposed to the idea.

A Farewell to Nona

Nona has been volunteering to come in to the church to watch Joshua for the last year. This has been awesome for Joshua and I both in so many ways, and Nona should definiely be considered for sainthood, especially considering how colicky my poor baby was for those first months! Here is Joshua with Nona.

Pizza Delivery

Joshua is very excited about putting things into and taking them out of boxes. This includes himself.

Littlest Shepherd

Joshua was in the Christmas pageant at Church last Sunday. He was the littlest shepherd. I thought about suggesting he play the baby Jesus, but since Mary was only 5, I thought it was unlikely to work out.

Cute baby or little physicist?

Joshua is a cute baby, as shown in exhibit A, but in exhibit B you can see the physicist hair genes beginning to kick in. He also loves experimenting with gravity on the stairs and in his high chair.

I turn my back for one minute...

Well, I thought the bathroom door was shut. Apparently I was mistaken.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a big success. Everyone stuffed themselves and Joshua had a great time.

Water Baby

Joshua LOVES the bath. He calls it the "bah." He loves to take a "bah" with his "duh."

Silly Baby

I arrived at Joshua's Halloween party and opened the door to the car. This is the sight that awaited me. I think it's safe to say he's teething.

Joshua has gone "trunk-or-treating" at the church, played at Steve's Halloeen party, and he's got 2 more baby Halloween parties in the next 2 days. Here he is in his matching star fleet costume with mommy, playing with his tribble, and playing with a yarn ball with Siobhan.

11 Months

Joshua can sit in a chair now and loves to clap his hands when he's proud of himself.

Having a snack

Joshua is growing into all his 1 year clothing, which is good since the weather is getting cold and he's outgrown all his old long sleeved tops. Joshua is enjoying some cheerioes from his new spill-proof snack cup. I'm constantly amazed by how fast he's growing.

7 teeth total, and one more on the way. I'm not sure why he's so excited about taking off his sock, but obviously he is.

Joshua and the kitties

Joshua is continuing to enjoy the kitties. They run around the house with the energy that only babies can muster. We're starting Joshua on German and French songs in the hope that something will sink in, but we'll have to wait and see.
